A new children’s book by Tamara N. Stith, MBA
Join Jediah Paul, or as his friends call him, JP, on his quest to start his own business at a very young age, earn money and fulfill his dream of buying a brand-new football. In the book, Jediah’s Super Lemonade Stand, JP takes the reader through an exciting step-by-step journey of becoming a small business owner and the rewards of earning profits with fun, interactive and educational activities and encouraging messages for all ages.
Based on a true story, Jediah’s Super Lemonade Stand was inspired by the author’s youngest son, Jediah Paul. Just a month before his 4th birthday, JP returned home from Summer Camp and shared with his mother his desire to build what he called a Super Lemonade Stand. It was at camp that he and the other children learned about earning and saving money. JP loved sports, especially football, so he wanted to earn money to buy a new football and give to children in need.
JP’s business venture was a success! Since 2014, JP has generously donated backpacks with crayons and notebooks to Back-to-School Giveaway events at three local churches and sent donations to the children of Loma de Cana in the Dominican Republic. When asked why he wanted to give, JP said, “I want all children to be able to go to school and learn.” He also saved some money to open a college savings account.
